I can’t believe that my language stay is almost over. It feels like I just arrived. But then again it could’ve also been a year. It feels like I’m in a bubble here. There is nothing to worry about. It feels like a dream, as cheesy as it sounds.

This week was pretty calm. I enjoyed the beautiful city. I took a lot of pictures, strolled around the city and explored all the nooks and crannies. There is so much to see. I love to just walk around without a plan and look around. Cambridge feels like home now. It has a certain charm. It feels so intimate but it is still a city. You can lose yourself in one of the many parks but at the same time you can find everything you want in numerous shops. It’s the perfect mix.

On Friday a lot of my friends had to leave. Our school has this lovely ritual to say goodbye to their students. The whole school gathers in the canteen and each teacher says something about every student that has to leave. It feels so intimate. Sometimes somebody can perform a small act. This week my friend sang a traditional Mexican song. He did a great job.

On Saturday I went to the city early. It was the calm before the storm. Cambridge gets really busy on weekends. There are a lot of tourists and to be honest they are a bit annoying. They fill the streets and parks. But I just go to the places that are calmer to avoid them. But I don’t blame them. I totally understand why they want to see Cambridge.
